Freeze drying is a new method of preserving food. It requires a freeze dryer machine. Foods that are freeze dried are shelf stable and have an extremely long shelf life, usually about 25 years.
Many foods can be freeze dried as simple one ingredient additions to a meal or even eaten as a snack. Below you’ll find freeze dryer recipes that go beyond the basics. My personal favorite is freeze dried cranberries.
